The custom invitation Process

Initial Estimate

Whether you're recently engaged or you need a few last minute items to complete your look, I would love to help you bring your vision to life. Start by filling out the CONTACT US FORM. I will get back to you in a few days with an estimate and some further information based on your requests.

Consultation

During the consultation we will sort out all of the details to create the perfect invitations and stationery for your big day. We will talk in depth about your individual styles, wedding decor, likes, dislikes, and elements that make your wedding unique.

Paper & Pieces

A week later you will receive a custom sample and swatch kit in the mail.  This will allow you to touch each individual piece, feel the quality, and see the different shades of paper. An initial sketch, invoice, contract and project timeline will be sent and at that point you will decide if you would like to move forward with Stationery Movement  or go a different route.

Design Process

Guided by your personal designer you and your fiancé will hand pick color, fonts, design elements, wording, and layout to create your custom wedding stationery. Once everything is 'just right' the materials will be ordered and your stationery will be sent to print.

Mailing

Your invitations will be delivered to you 8-12 weeks prior to your wedding day. I am a full service stationery boutique which means I handle everything from design and printing to assembly, addressing, stuffing and sealing. All you will have to do is drop them off at your local post office. Mailing services are available for an additional fee.

creating a unique wedding invitation

I believe an invitation should do more than tell your guests where to go and what time do be there, it should give them a glimpse of what’s to come. The best (and my favorite) wedding invitations are a product from a true collaboration with the couple and/or wedding planner. Below is a visual representation of my design process: concept to creation.

Sarah created the invitations of my dreams. I never thought I could love this part of wedding planning so much, but working on and designing my invites with her quickly became one of my favorite aspects of planning my wedding. Sarah was able to take my vision and create the most timeless, classic and prefect invitations for my guests.”

quality & expertise

An invitation sets the tone for the entire event. This is why I am extremely selective about the quality of products and paper goods used in your stationery. All Stationery Movement Wedding Invitations are printed on double thick paper; you can really feel the difference when holding it.

I exclusively use Crane and Co.’s Lettra paper as my base white; Crane's Lettra is 100% cotton and has the luxurious feel of fabric with the look of hand made art paper. I choose additional paper and pieces to incorporate different colors, textures and patterns to achieve your desired look.
